I ordered four of these guys. Shipping was fast and packaging was great! They arrived unscathed and I took them out of their packaging, watered them, and they are doing wonderfully. They are beautiful, strong plants. Can’t wait for monarchs to start laying eggs on these plants. Will definitely order more in the future!"

These are magnificent plants. This is my first time ordering from Joyful Butterfly, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The 3.5″ pots had VERY strong and large plants. Each plant has a strong central stalk that is about 14-16″ high and covered with large leaves. The are perfectly rootbound–lots of roots to loosen but not so entangled that they break. I have bought from every high-end mail order plant site, and these are the very best plants I’ve ever received. And they were so lovingly and carefully packed. Not a bit of damage to them at all. Bravo. I just put them into my garden here in Houston, TX. I expect them to do very well. Thanks for a wonderful experience–the first of many, I hope!"

All of my various plants (31) arrived well packaged and in excellent shape. Planted beginning of June and all are thriving! Had to come on here to say ‘Thanks!’ after seeing my first monarch caterpillar munching away on the milkweed."

Spicebush Swallowtail Caterpillar on a Spicebush Leaf

"

Well packed for shipment, arrived fairly quickly. Healthy and strong, putting out new leaves within a few days of transplant. Hoping this 'weed' flourishes in a troublesome spot where few plants have failed to thrive! Highly recommend Joyful Butterfly for pollinator plants, both nectar and host."

I just received mine today and I'm so excited! This is my first milkweed and I'm doing more than just trying to fix up my garden; I'm trying to help out my community since native plants are becoming a rarity now.Was surprised to learn about this variety of milkweed as the only native ones I was familiar with were of the common and swamp variety.Thank you so much.I'll be keeping you updated on its progress as well as keeping my eyes open for your swamp milkweed plants."

I live in Zone 9b and have purchased about 30 milkweed plants and nectar plants from Joyful Butterfly. My yard is becoming a haven for Monarchs. Found 15 Monarch eggs on the milkweed this week! Several have hatched and are happily munching away. So thankful for quality milkweed to help the Monarchs flourish!

"

If you are new to milkweed or just curious about helping the monarchs this is a great starting point. Last year, I purchased my first plant from joyful butterfly strictly to help the monarchs. My plant arrived healthy & beautiful. I planted it in a small flower bed late spring & soon after the monarchs started visiting the plant daily. Then I started finding eggs, lots of eggs! I can't explain how amazing it felt to provide for these beautiful butterflies. I had at least 10 caterpillars that survived & grew into beautiful butterflies from this one plant. The plant is easy to care for and the flowers are beautiful. All the pollinators love it! I'm located in Central Indiana & I put this plant in a full sun to part shade bed. By Fall it was about 4.5' tall."
